Overview

InCol Intelligence has been developed by InCol Limited ("InCol"), an affiliate of Somers Limited (“Somers”), the international financial services investment holding company with shareholders’ Funds of €298m. Somers focuses on investments in banking, asset finance, fintech and wealth management, primarily in Australia, the UK and Bermuda. InCol is further backed by Enterprise Ireland (EI), the Irish state investment agency.

The InCol team brings deep experience across lending, financial technology, investment banking and capital markets. This blend of domain and technical expertise underpins InCol Intelligence as an institutional-grade solution for regulated financial institutions and capital markets participants.

InCol Intelligence started life as an analytics platform to support secured funding transactions. Over time the platform has been transformed to meet changing user requirements and demands for more wide-ranging analysis and business assessment.

InCol Intelligence is a FinTech that has built a proprietary, cloud-native analytics platform from the ground up.

At its core, it has a sophisticated architecture featuring Riva AI, a closed proprietary AI application designed specifically for financial analytics. The platform transforms financial workflows through automated data validation, real-time portfolio interrogation, and push-button report generation.

The technology stack integrates seamlessly with world-leading data aggregators to deliver detailed insights across credit risk, climate exposure, collateral valuation, and regulatory compliance.

InCol Intelligence achieves this through a single, intelligent interface, that eliminates manual processes and enables instant decision-making.

Scalablilty and Infrastructure

Built on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, InCol Intelligence can handle all data at loan-level granularity. The platform's architecture is designed for secure, scalable deployment on the AWS cloud environment.

The system can integrate data from multiple third-party aggregators, such as PriceHubble and Haskoning, for EPC, valuation, and climate analytics. Automated workflows and API-driven integrations enable seamless connectivity with existing systems.

The modular design allows rapid deployment of new features and user customisations without disrupting operations.

Paul Somers, CEO

Paul 's career covers banking, credit, treasury, capital and structured finance markets. Prior to founding InCol Paul worked with Collins Stewart specialising in hybrid capital origination for European financial institutions and corporate and bank debt advisory.

Before that he was Director, Treasury at Anglo Irish Bank, business development and corporate banking manager at Smurfit Paribas Bank having started his career at IDA Ireland, the Irish FDI Government Agency.

He more recently founded Dfinitive Capital which connects Irish Housing Associations with the global debt capital markets.

Paul is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin with a B.A. (Mod) in Mathematics.

Frank Wall, CCO

Frank Wall has a broad background across treasury and capital markets. His career includes senior roles with AIB Finance & Leasing, Anglo Irish Bank, Structured Credit Company and GoldCore.

A Co-Founder of InCol, Frank led the complete rebuild of InCol Intelligence in 2022 as product owner and technical sponsor. He worked closely with the engineering and data teams on platform architecture, data model design and user workflows, combining commercial insight with hands-on delivery oversight.

Frank is a graduate of University College Cork, holding an M.A. in Economic History.

Atul Thakker, CTO

Atul Thakker is a seasoned CBS Integration Architect with significant experience in banking technology and enterprise solutions. He has held leadership roles at Oracle Financial Services Software, Wipro, and AnTuras, delivering core banking and integration solutions for AIB and the Reserve Bank of India.

His expertise spans core banking implementation, enterprise integration, vendor management, and digital transformation.

Atul holds a B.Com from the University of Mumbai, a diploma in Computer Programming from NCC-UK, and certifications including Google Cloud Certified Associate Engineer and Certified Scrum Master.

Colm Ryan, Head of Business Development

Colm Ryan has significant experience in International Financial Markets , prior to his role as Head of Fixed Income at Goodbody, he was Managing Director of Hedge Funds and Bank Sales at RBS. Before that he held leadership positions at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank.

His expertise covers Asset Backed Securities, Derivatives and Structured Credit as well as Debt Capital Markets.

Colm studied Accounting at now ATU in Sligo and holds a LLB (Hons) from Griffith College.

Rahul Muggalla

Rahul Muggalla is an AI Engineer and Generative AI specialist dedicated to building advanced, real-world AI solutions that empower businesses to innovate and scale. With deep expertise in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and applied machine learning, Rahul combines technical ingenuity with a consultative, client-centric approach to solve complex challenges across industries. As a thought leader and active contributor to the AI community, he drives transformative projects that blend cutting-edge research with practical implementation, helping clients harness the power of generative AI, NLP, and intelligent automation to achieve measurable impact. Rahul’s entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to excellence ensure he delivers strategic value at every engagement.

Ronan White

Ronan has held senior roles across treasury, capital markets, investor relations, corporate lending, communications, marketing, and compliance. Previously, he worked with National Australia Bank in London, Anglo Irish Bank in Dublin and London, the Woodchester Group/GE Capital in Dublin and London, and AIB in Dublin.

Ronan serves as Non-executive Chairman of Moneycorp Technologies Limited (MTL) and as a Non-executive Director of Deutsche Leasing (Ireland) DAC.

A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, he trained with KPMG. He holds a B.Comm from University College Dublin and the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma.
